Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

Lismore Heights Public School is located above the town of Lismore, overlooking the picturesque mountains to the north. Our school has a strong history of working alongside families and our school community to create a safe, caring and nurturing environment in which every student feels known, valued and cared for, and where students of all ages and abilities thrive.

We place emphasis on quality teaching of mathematics and Literacy programs, ensuring evidenced-informed practices are embedded in our day-to-day teaching, and balance this with an outstanding creative and performing arts program and a strong sporting tradition.

Our school is a proud member of The Rivers P-12 Community of Schools which serves Lismore and its surrounding area. Our schools work collaboratively to provide quality learning experiences for all students living in the Lismore region.

Mark Scotton, Principal

Our school staff

Our school leaders, including our principal, guide teachers and students. They help create a school culture where every child is supported to grow and thrive. Your child’s school experience is shaped by the people around them. Our teachers bring experience, care and a passion for learning to every lesson. With a focus on success, they help every child reach their full potential.

Our Kindergarten Teachers

Our caring and experienced kindergarten teachers understand how important it is that our young learners are happy, enthusiastic and feel safe when starting ‘big’ school. They take the time to meet with you and your child before starting school to ensure that they understand your child’s strengths, areas of interest, as well as any areas where they may require additional support. It is this commitment to working alongside you that helps us ensure that your child has the best possible start on this next step along their education journey.
